Problem setting up my Nikon Coolpix 990

Postby SteveM » Sun Apr 10, 2005 8:21 am

Hi

I\'ve just downloaded the trial version of cam2pc and want to install my Nikon Coolpix 990 but there seems to be a problem somewhere. I have read through the help section and note the comments about the software having been tested with the Coolpix 990 - I\'ve selected the Sierra chip option and am using a usb connection. The Cam2pc config wizard doesn\'t auto detect the camera when I switch it on and select the usb button. XP auto detects it but I don\'t have the original Nikon View software available at the moment so can\'t install the camera that way. Besides, if there\'s a potential conflict between NV and cam2pc I would rather use cam2pc.
What am I missing/not doing?

My PC spec: Athlon 1GB cpu, 1.5GB memory, 40GB HD, Elsa video card, XP Pro with SP2.

Any help/advice is appreciated.
:)

Hi Steve,
Someone with more knowledge will probably be along later, but until then I can tell you that cam2pc V4.5.2 and Nikon View are both working ok on my computer (for a D70).
